Karacabey Bath, one of the oldest historical monuments in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, was completed in 1440, after 13 years of construction. The bath which was built by Celalettin Karacabey Ibn-i Abdullah and contributed to the development of the region is also known to have inspired the name of Ankara's Hamamönü district. The bathhouse, which has survived for centuries, has been dormant for some time and is in danger of extinction. On top of this, the bathhouse, which underwent restoration in 1990, begins to serve as its original again in the same year. Karacabey Bath, located within the boundaries of Hacettepe neighborhood in Altindag District, consists of two separate sections in a large indoor area. The marble brought from Afyon, Elazığ and Sivrihisar and the elegant wooden parts which are important elements of its ambience are noted in the bath which has a capacity of 94 people. In Karacabey Bath, modern technology is used as well as the basis of air circulation in the tunnels, which is a traditional method of heating the bath. It is a complete structure with a system that prevents excessive moisture, domes and parking lots that allow daylight to enter the ceiling.
