Patara Beach

Patara Beach, which is located within a special Environmental Protection Zone and within the borders of Kas District of Antalya, has the distinction of having the second longest beach in Turkey with a length of 12 kilometers. The width of Patara Beach varies between 280 and 1500 metres. Located in the ancient city of Patara, one of the six important cities of the Lycian Union, this beach is the beach of the ancient city of Patara, founded by Paturus, son of Apollo, and the water nymph Lycia, according to mythology. To reach Patara Beach, where the nearest airports are Muğla Dalaman Airport and Antalya airport, public transport from KAS, Kalkan or Fethiye can be used.
