Kocayayla

The history of Kocayayla in Bursa dates back to the early Ottoman periods. Even during Osman Ghazi and Orhan Ghazi periods, it is known that this place was visited actively. One of the most interesting claims about this place is that Orhan Ghazi and Nilüfer Hatun were married here. Nilüfer Streamlet near Kocayayla is also named because of Nilüfer Hatun. This streamlet also meets the drinking water needs of Bursa to a certain extent.

Kocayayla covers a large area of 400 thousand square meters in total. Today it is shown at the beginning of the promenade areas that are most attracted by the local people. This area is preferred for many associations or community organizations during the summer months. It is almost an escape point for people who are overwhelmed by the heat in the city during these months.

The region can accommodate between 20 and 25 thousand people on average, thanks to the huge area it covers. Kocayayla is connected to Keles, a mountain district. It functions as one of the places where the Ottomans prepared for wars in certain periods. This natural area, which stands out at an altitude of one thousand 200 meters, is now prepared for tourism along with bungalow houses and environmental regulations. There are currently 25 bungalows in Kocayayla. Many state tents are brought to these studies through Kyrgyzstan. Located 50 kilometers from the city center, Kocayayla is at the forefront of both historical importance and natural beauty.

In Kocayayla, you may often encounter larch trees. For 12 months, the region will be a vibrant place for tourism. Both Bursa Metropolitan Municipality and Keles Municipality sign this project together. A total budget of 10 million is allocated for the conversion of Kocayayla. Soon, the region will become one of the most important tourism potentials in Turkey.
