Gestaş Pier Square

Çanakkale means Pier Square; Pier Square means Çanakkale... Stepping out of the city without seeing this place, without experiencing it means something is missing. Due to the nearby ferry port, a large number of families can be seen walking with a light breeze, especially in the evening, in an area that naturally increases in intensity during the summer season. It is surrounded by cheerful faces and city dwellers who are enjoying their tea. There are resting places, eating and drinking spots in the Pier Square, and also there are people walking in the four seasons, catching up or breathing the fresh air. One of the most striking elements is the inscription ‘stop passenger, this land that you come and step on unknowingly, is the place where an era sank’ on the opposite shore, due to its proximity to the Trojan statue, which is of great interest to tourists. This inscription is riveted by the figure symbolizing the Turkish soldier and the image of the waving Turkish flag. The Pier Square, a public space complete with bike paths, well-maintained and clean surroundings, is among the ideal spots to take the day off.
