While exploring Erzurum , the city of Bastions, it wouldn’t be completed without learning about the Bastion of Sivişli.Erzurum, which has been in an important and special location throughout history, was transformed into a castle city, during the Ottoman period. 21 of the bastions, built in places with high viewing angles, are located in Erzurum. The Russians, who wanted to turn the political and military hardship of the Ottoman Empire into opportunities, started a war against the Ottoman Empire. The reason the bastions are built are purely for the purpose of defending the city of Erzurum against the Russians. There are also bastions around it, especially in the east of Erzurum. Sivisli Bastion is located on the 2125 m. altitude hill behind the martyrdom of bastion Nene Hatun Turkish Russian War, located on Erzurum-Kars highway. There are sections of bastion, that reached today built in1884-1896, in order to prevent future dangers from Hamam Creek ,during The Abdulhamit Period II. The table, built in the form of a bow, has headquarters, wards, artillery rooms and ambush rooms. There are a total of 18 rooms in the Sivisli Bastion, which is divided into two parts with the hole placed in the middle part. Numerous Windows stands out with crene in the rooms.
