Eyüpoğlu Mosque

Eyüpoğlu mosque is one of the most important buildings that adds value to the city's skyline. The date of construction of Eyüpoğlu Mosque is not clearly known, but it is written in the legal records dated 1586 that it was built at a date much earlier than those years. Also mentioned in another record of a different scope dated 1557, Eyüpoğlu mosque was made in the first half of the 1500s when all these records are taken as evidence. The mosque, which also gives its name to the neighborhood in which it is located, has six eyes in the main place of worship and has the so-called building technology in the form of a cross vault. The place of worship, which is equipped with black and white colored marbles, welcomes its guests with awe of the colors. Eyüpoğlu mosque offers artistic elegance with its geometric shapes, the two-colored details on the main entrance door also amaze the beholders. In addition, the mosque offers almost the hospitality of Anatolia with its large courtyard furnished with black and white stones, and with its three entrances which create the feeling of accepting visitors at all times and types. Another prominent part of the mosque is its minaret. Eyüpoğlu Mosque, which has its own style with its minaret balcony and ornate arches with geometric shapes underneath, is still open to worship today and is one of the buildings that has a very important place in spiritual terms.
