The Hüseyin Pasha Mosque is one of the prominent Ottoman-era religious buildings in Gaziantep, one of the oldest historical cities in Turkey. Hüseyin Paşa Mosque, located on Gaziler Street, was built in 1719 by the state Erkan Hüseyin Paşa, who served as Minister of the Interior for the present day. As a sign that it is one of the important mosques of its period, many foundations have been established to transfer the revenues of the mosque during the construction period and it is also supported by the existing foundations. Hüseyin Paşa Mosque stands out as a very simple structure when considered from an architectural point of view. The mosque is surrounded by walls and has a rectangular plan by passing through the courtyard in which the trees are lined. The pointed arched crown door is very valuable artistically. In the mosque, which has six domes, three domes carried with pointed arches on top of the last communion place, i.e. the main worship section, draw attention. However, the use of geometric stone in the alcove called the mihrab, which the imam placed in front of the congregation and made them perform prayers, is among the outstanding details. In addition, Hüseyin Paşa Mosque, which has a single minaret with two minaret balcony and polygonal body, is among the most visited religious buildings in Gaziantep.
