Hatay Archaeological Museum, which has the world's largest mosaic collection, is one of the most important museums in Turkey, which sheds light on thousands of years of human history. Located in the middle of Mesopotamia and Kenan Region, the history of hatay's settled civilizations dates back to 4,000 BC. In 1932, the University of Chicago began excavations here to shed light on the history and long-established history of the city's cultural richness, and thus pioneered many archaeological research. Many archaeological excavations are carried out over time and countless artifacts are reached. Hatay Archaeological Museum in Hatay, which is shown as the place where mosaic art began, is the largest mosaic museum in the world.Even only the works in the museum, where mosaics are exhibited on an area of 3 thousand square meters, amaze those who see it. The place that is one of the stops that visitors to the city does not return without seeing haunt with a total of 10,700 square meters of huge space. The Hatay Archaeological Museum, which usually has Roman artifacts, exhibits Three Mouthed Cave Animation, Artifacts from the Amik Plain Mound, mosaics, the establishment of Antioch, sarcophagi, medieval periods and works that survived.
