Alaiye Martyrdom

Alaiye Martyrdom, which is situated within the borders of Çatalca district of Istanbul, is located in a region connected to the Yazlık Village. The number of the sepulchres of the soldiers in the martyrdom built in 1959, is 657. Alaiye Martyrdom, of which the First Armored Brigade Command is responsible for the maintenance, is located 18 kilometers from the center of Çatalca. Alaiye Martyrdom, where the mortal remains of seven military officers, 657 soldiers and noncommissioned officer are buried, is also located close to Dağyenice Village. The martyrdom, where the sepulchres of the soldiers who were ambushed and martyrized in the First Balkan Wars are located, is also visited by tourists coming to the region. In the martyrdom, which was built years after the incidents in 1912, a ceremony is conducted regularly every year henceforth.
