Azerbaijan Friendship Park

Azerbaijan Friendship Park built by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality is located within the borders of Bağcılar. Khojaly Massacre Monument built by Bağcılar Municipality and this park were brought into service with a ceremony. Grand opening ceremony was held after President Uysal's speech that the relation between Azerbaijan and Turkey is not only a strategic partnership, but also based on a brotherhood common values, culture, history, religion, language and geography.

Azerbaijan Friendship Park is one of the newest and most beautiful socializing areas in Istanbul with exactly three basketball courts, an underground car park with a capacity of 417 vehicles, a mini football field, three buffet, grass amphitheater and picnic areas. The opening ceremony was held in 25 February 2018 with the participation of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mevlüt Uysal, Deputy Minister of Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan Valeh Hacıyev, Vice President of Azerbaijan Ali Hasanov, Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul Mesim Hacıyev, Istanbul Bağcılar Municipality Mayor Lokman Çağrıcı and Governor of Istanbul Vasip Şahin.

There are playgrounds, ponds, pergolas, wooden view terraces, decorative pools, grass amphitheater, cafe, picnic areas, apparatus gymnastics area, basketball and football fields in Azerbaijan Friendship Park, which set out with the slogan "Modern Living Space above Six Parking Lot" and established on an area of approximately 33 decares.

There are 3 floors underground parking as well as an elevator for disabled, three fire escapes, , two electric vehicle places and 26 disabled vehicle area in Azerbaijan Friendship Park located in Fatih Street - Fevzi Çakmak Neighborhood (next to Bağcılar Olympic Sports Hall) of Bağcılar district in Istanbul.
