Museum of Lighting Heating Collections throughout the Ages

A first in our country and in the world, the Age of Lighting Heating Collections Museum was founded by Mehmet Yaldız. Many products that meet our enlightenment and warming needs have been exhibited in this museum. Mehmet Yaldız questioned the conditions of that time with the oil lamp he found when he was 12 years old and reached his goal with the dream of the day he would establish such a museum. Yaldız, who also questioned how people were enlightened before the lamps, when he turned 18, he rolled up his sleeves to realize his dream and started to work. In addition to being the first museum opened for this business in the world and in Turkey, there are more than two thousand pieces in it. Most of them were brought from Anatolia and various countries of the world. There are all the means of warming and enlightenment you can think of in the museum.

Some of those; torch, oil lamp, various candlesticks, rapeseed oil, gasoline, carbide, talisman, matataplar and water scales, whatever comes to your mind, are all exhibited for you at the Museum of Lighting Heating Collections for the Ages. Of course, bringing these parts together has also gone through a long process. It would not be wrong to say that the tools collected in 65 years have become very popular since the day they were displayed. The fact that the pieces that shed light on the past from the past attract a lot of attention by the users, is also related to the fact that the pieces bear quite old and historical traces.

Located in Beykoz, one of the busiest districts of Istanbul, Çağlar Boyu Lighting Heating Collections Museum is located in Çengeldere District on Çengeldere Street. You can easily reach the museum via many transportation means by sea and land via Üsküdar and have a bright look at the dusty pages of history. The museum has no equivalent anywhere else, which stands out as the main feature that distinguishes the building from other museums.
