KabatasHigh School is located on Ciragan Avenue, on the coastline of Besiktas district in Istanbul, along the Bosphorus. It is in the south of the 15 July Martyrs Bridge.
The historical school, whose construction year is 1908, started to contribute to the education of young people in the capital of the Ottoman Empire firstly with 276 students and seven classrooms. In 1913, new five classrooms and the primary school department were opened. Its name was recorded as Kabatas Sultanisi. Since the year when the sultanis (one of the educational institutions during the Ottoman Empire) were abolished, it has been serving as Kabatas High School. Kabatas High School, whose building has been changed, enlarged and its regulations changed several times in the past 100 years, is shown among the most established educational institutions in Turkey.
The artistic details of the high school, which makes a strong impression with its historical building, also stand out. Inside the school, which attracts attention with its windows, doors, and various decorations, there are classrooms opening to long corridors, cultural and artistic buildings, and sports areas.
Today, Kabatas High School, which is a complete high school with nearly 40 classrooms, conferences, meeting rooms, sports halls, workshops, library, laboratories, and infirmary, offers boarding education as a school where nearly 1000 students are educated
