Located in Kadıköy District, in the Anatolian Side of Istanbul, Kazım Karabekir Museum is a wooden building dating back to the 19th century.

Kazım Karabekir Museum's building, built by one of the leading statesmen of the Ottoman Sultan Abdülhamit II period, was then used as a hospital and a school for a short time. The building left idle in the 1920s was referred to, after a while, as "the Haunted House" by the local people.

One of the names initiating the Turkish Independence War, Kazım Karabekir Pasha bought the building in 1929 and lived there for ten years. After he moved to Ankara in 1939, the building turned into a spacious mansion where he spent his summers, and his family used the building for a short time after he passed away in 1948.

The building was converted to a museum in 2005 and functions as one. The museum covering personal items, furniture, and various documents belonging to the pasha is also the centre of attraction for its free entry.
