Little New Inn

One of the most interesting works is Little New Inn in Fatih, which stands out with its richness in Istanbul's historical buildings. Located in Taya Hatun Neighbourhood, the building is in the form a three-storey inn. Built mostly for the accommodation of the people dropping by the city for trade or transit passengers going to other cities, Little New Inn derives its name from another building known as Big New Inn and with a similar architectural style but in a bigger size. Built in the 1770s by the Ottoman Sultan Mustafa III, the Little New Inn indicates the region's increasing commercial potential. Built with mostly cut stones and durable materials, the Little New Inn welcomes its visitors with a relatively modernized identity, away from its original form taking us to a time travel.

Little New Inn is located today on Çakmakçı Yokuşu where the commercial life is busy and the human traffic does not diminish all day, and it continues to draw attention with its contribution to the city's silhouette and stores on the ground floor.
