Maçka Democracy Park

Maçka Democracy Park promising a resting destination in touch with nature especially in sunny weather is located in the wide area between Harbiye and Nişantaşı in Şişli district of Istanbul. There are green plains, walking paths and recreation areas in the park lined with trees of various types.

It offers different activity possibilities with its parts such as children's playgrounds, artificial pools, sports equipment, cafes and restaurants.

You can see young people making music, yoga, neighborhood-dwellers walking their dogs, people sitting and chatting on the grass or benches after work/school in the area where amateur photographers are also interested. The park, which attracts attention as a picnic area with small huts among trees in the 1800s was abandoned in time and became a frequent destination for the homeless in the 1970s.
