The Mimar Sinan (Sultan Süleyman) Bridge, located in Silivri, one of the most sought-after districts of Istanbul, far from the center, is among the most important historical values of the region.

After the death of Suleiman the Magnificent, II. The bridge, which Selim had built by Mimar Sinan in honor of his father, is therefore named after both Mimar Sinan and Sultan Süleyman. The bridge, whose construction was completed in 1568, is still in use today, although it has been over 5 centuries.

The bridge, which was built on Tuzla Stream, has a length of 340 meters and 33 eye arches. The bridge, which was open even to vehicle traffic until 2006, was left to pedestrian traffic only after 2006. On the other hand, another feature of the bridge is that it was built using local materials.

This 5-century-old bridge, which has recently been strengthened by restoration work, was reopened to pedestrians on April 9, 2019, on the Memorial Day of Mimar Sinan and Architects Day.
