Taş Han

Taş Han is one of the flavor and shopping stops that invite you to a historical journey in Laleli, one of the busiest districts of Fatih district. Taş Han, which replaced a cistern leftover from the Byzantine Empire and served as a guest house during the Ottoman Empire, is a two-story structure with a rectangular plan. It makes you feel the old texture with a flawless visual effect. At the center of this effect is the successful restoration, which has recently been completed.

As a result of the restoration works carried out at the time when it was called to be abandoned to its fate, the Taş Han offers the opportunity to shop in the shops surrounding its courtyard where the tables are located today or to take a taste break in its famous restaurant.

The Taş Han also has a separate meaning. Because Taş Han is one of the few public houses outside that region. The section of the city between Tahtakele-Grand Bazaar and Yesildirek described as the ‘Inns District’, is home to many historical locations.

And when we go out of this area, only the Şekerci Han and, of course, Taş Han appears.

The modern use of the millennial Byzantine structure is extremely atmospheric and welcomes its distinguished guests almost every day. The restaurant part, in particular, is positioned among the city's recommended authentic taste destination.
