The bath house, built by Banner Bey Ferhat Pasha of Kastamonu, a starboard city, is one of the most important tourist attractions of the city. Kastamonu, who became familiar with Turkish culture with the establishment of Candaroğlu in the 1300s, is shaped entirely by Turkish architectural examples after joining the territory of the Ottoman Empire. Kastamonu, conquered by Fatih Sultan Mehmet in 1460, becomes a starboard city. Surrounded by baths, which are indispensable elements of Turkish culture in a short time, the city carries the motto of purification of the spirit in the philosophy of baths to this day. The bath house built by Banner Bey Ferhat Pasha between 1557 and 1564 has the same name as the pasha. Over time, the structure, which underwent repairs twice in 1743 and 1793, remains true to its original ity. Ferhatpasa Foundation Bath, which is now 456 years old, is one of the classic Ottoman architectural styles of the 16th century. Ferhatpasa Foundation Bath, which is one of the rarest examples of Turkish baths with the philosophy of purifying, being pure and reaching essence while cleaning the body, is also frequented by local and foreign tourists.
