Kastamonu Mansions

The mansions, consisting of 400 cultural property reflecting Kastamonu's example of civil architecture, challenge time with at least one century of age. Kastamonu Mansions, which constitute the registered civil architecture structure of the Western Black Sea, consist of structures in Tosya, Taşköprü and Inebolu districts. With the ages of more than 100 years, mansions, each of which looks like big sycamores that challenge time, also provide integrity in the architecture of the city. Designed in accordance with the geographical location of the region, the mansions are the most admired civilian architectures of the Black Sea. Decoration and design, which are discussed with a different architectural understanding on the front line of each of the mansions, especially in the center of the city, are also an indicator of Kastamonu cultural richness. Kastamonu Mansions, which emerged as a result of the city's unique beauty and well-established cultural accumulation, which dates back to the Hittites and is the subject of Homer's Iliad Saga, are structures that constitute the identity of the city and show respect for its past community. One of the important differences in the mansions is that it distinguishes themselves from cities famous for its other mansions. It succeeds with the construction of two-storey structures not deaf, but as the floor of face to face life and where daily life begins.
