Architect Vedat Tek Culture and Art Center

The center, which is a large complex structure serving under the name of Vedat Tek, the pioneer of Turkish National Architectural Movement in Kastamonu, is among the cultural and artistic activities of the historical city and its attractions. The culture and art center, which opened in 2008, has many sections located among the global examples in their fields with the breadth of collections they have, such as the Lace and Hat Museum, Baby House. Architect Vedat Tek Culture and Arts Center has a painting gallery and exhibition hall, where the city's residents are interested in the museum sections in question, most of which are the first in their area. Ataturk Exhibition Hall hosts prominent painting and art events in the city. There is also a House of Republic within the scope of the building. Valuable objects and various artifacts about the founding years of the Republic of Turkey can be examined here. Founded to keep the famous architect's name alive, Mimar Vedat Tek Culture and Arts Center can be visited every day of the week at no cost. Visiting hours start at 08:00 in two periods, summer and winter, and continue until the evening hours.
