Munire Madrasah, which was completed in 1746 as one of the Ottoman works in Kastamonu, serves as a Handicraft Bazaar today. Every year, both production and sales are carried out in Münire Madrasah Craft Bazaar, which welcomes tourists from the surrounding cities and Kastamonu residents. In addition, medicinal plants and various household items that identify with the region can also be purchased. There are also a small number of food and drink points. Here, the specialty is predicted, as is the local delicacies. You usually see delicious pastries, sorbets that even those who say they don't have much contact with dessert can't say no. The historical texture of the bazaar, which is home to one of the city's authentic environments in terms of crafts, is disparate. The building, which is built mainly on cutting stone, contributes to the future of local arts as well as contributes to local tourism. Reisül Küttab Haji Mustafa Efendi, an important divan official during the reign of Ottoman Sultan Mahmoud I, was the person who built the Munire Madrasah when its historical origins in question. After the founding of the Republic of Turkey, the building, which served as a student dormitory for a long time, underwent a transformation towards tourism in the late 90s under the governor's office. Many shops and workshops are established, while support for handicrafts is provided. Münire Madrasah Craft Bazaar, which has been flooded with visitors in the spring months, is one of Kastamonu's standout cultural values.
