Historical Inebolu Houses

Tourists from all over the world come to see Inebolu Houses, which offer a great view to guests visiting Inebolu with its chirpy exterior, historical architecture and naïve stance. Houses located mostly in coastal districts in Kastamonu region have remained remarkable. Although it attracts attention with its dozens of house architectures, from Abana to Çatalzeytin along the Black Sea coast, the view and visual feast of the Historical Inebolu Houses is another. These houses have their own typical characteristics as of its structure. Ochre is used on the exterior facades of these houses, whose roofs are covered with local marla stone. Colors such as blue and white, especially in red, are preferred. Offering eye-catching colour, these houses are mostly positioned on steep slopes. The facades appear on two floors, while the actual height appears to be four storeys on the rear façade. Due to the harem salutation application in the mansions, the stairs are designed in pairs and each floor is created to cover areas where they can meet their own needs in apart style.
