Lycian Way

According to most authorities, the Lycian Way is one of the best walking routes in the world. It can be summed up as a route with a length of close to 500 kilometers, containing many stops of historical and cultural importance.

The Lycian Way is between Fethiye and Kemer districts of Muğla and Antalya. It's a long adventure that lasts for days. It is based on various cultural, historical and nature intertwined stops, accommodation and meeting various needs in this scope.

The fact that the activity is carried out along the Sea coast means that the landscape is constantly alive. July-August in the Lycian Way experience, on the other hand, is not recommended in the region, such as the peak months of heat. In addition, because the road is predominantly dirt, it is important to choose suitable equipment such as clothes and shoes. Precautions to be taken to protect from the sun should not be forgotten.

The countryside, Lycian cities, Turkish villages, untouched natural areas, the presence of animals stand out. There are lines of different colors along the way. So the route is not difficult to follow.

The fact that it is too long can lead to it being divided into sections according to preference. For example, only roads between distances such as Ovacık-Patara, Faralya-Kabak can be preferred. Crossing the entire distance means experiencing all aspects of the region that have witnessed numerous steps of civilization across a wide range.

Camping can be done. It is possible to stay in compact and small hotels that make it necessary not to keep expectations high (the number of 5-star hotels in the immediate vicinity is low). In restaurants usually run by families, the pleasures of appetizing authentic tastes should not be overlooked.
