Nevsehir Museum

The Nevsehir Museum building, was one of the symbols of the city by opening to service with the arrangements completed in 1987. The museum, which can be visited at a modest entrance fee, can be reached in a short time thanks to the guidance of the city's signs and its easy transportation. Nevsehir Museum, which stands out for its modern architectural design and lighting, consists of three main sections: 1) In the section described as the 1st Hall, with the photographs of 18th-century Ottoman architectural structures, numerous miniatures and manuscripts for depiction of period of life will attract cultural and art enthusiasts. 2) The hall is like an archaeological feast... Here, prehistoric equipment, pots and pans; Urartu, Phrygian-era items, ceramics, iron items, highly interesting vases with aesthetic properties, elegant Byzantine jewelry, sundial, religious depictions, Roman works and many more items can be seen closely. 3) In the 3rd and final sections, ottoman clothes and finery samples, women's ornaments, carpets and various kinds of household items are located. Various oversized historical artifacts and finds can also be examined in the garden of the museum, where approximately 20,000 pieces of art are exhibited. Among these artifacts, a marble sarcophagus dated to byzantine times stands out.
