Redsheep Necropolis

The mystery of the tombs of Şanlıurfa, which has been proven to be the place where history began in recent years, has reached the present day from the 4th century BC creates admiration for those who see it. The place, which is filled with sarcophagi with sculptures and reliefs depicted by Roman soldiers, consists of structures from the 3rd and 4th centuries. The rock tombs discovered by the Museum Directorate and made of the limestone, typical stone in the region have been protected since the second half of 2014, along with sculptures and reliefs inside it. Red sheep Necropolis, which is full of square lycra sarcophagi, is also of great importance for Anatolian historians.
