Tomb of Hasan Bey

The construction of the Tomb of Hasan Bey, built side by side with the Madrasah of Hasan Bey, which has an asymmetric plan, was completed in 1563. The tomb, built by Hasan Bey's son, Sir Bey, on the foothills of Hosap Castle, is in harmony with the eight-room madrasah next to it. The Tomb of Hoşap Hasan Bey resembles a watchtower that is almost outside the fortification of Hosap Castle with three window openings for interior lighting. Inspired by Seljuk period architecture with its cone-shaped dome, the mausoleum also follows the early Ottoman architectural period. The Tomb of Hoşap Hasan Bey, which has been defiantly present to time for 457 years, gives the impression of the natural formation of the mother of the earth in terms of light red and cream stone colors... The vehicle path passes between the tomb and Hosap Castle. Therefore, they appear to be independent at first glance. However, it is noticed that although there is a centuries-old difference between the structures, these two structures complement each other.
