Geographical Location
Nevşehir, located in the Central Anatolia Region; is bounded by Kırşehir, Niğde, Yozgat and Aksaray. Fairy chimneys, which are the result of its geographical location, contribute to the increase in belief and cultural tourism in the city. The city, which is poor at vegetation, is predominantly covered with steppes and plains.
Food Culture
The most prominent local tastes of Nevşehir, food culture of which got richer thanks to many different civilizations having lived on its territory, are as follows: testi kebabı (kebab cooked in a pot), sağonlama (meat and vegetable filled pastry), stuffed quince, düğü çorbası (soup made of bulgur wheat), köftür (traditional local dessert made of fermented grape juice and starch), sızgıt (fried meat) and ağpakla (a dish made of local white beans).
